Covid 19

This whole virus pandemic raises all sorts of questions and doubts in our minds. When we were"released" from lock down my first forage into town was slightly surreal. I was seeing human life other than my wife and our neighbour (we had weekly drinking sessions over the fence, whilst maintaining at least 3 metres distance) for the first time in 6 weeks. There is life after all, scary.

Of course we now have to social distance and wear masks. Here in Spain wearing a mask is required in ALL shops and also walking through town. Not in bars, cafes or restaurants (that would be daft), these places follow their own guidelines. Menus are now on blackboards, single use paper or QR codes.  All that said, you must have a mask with you and available at all times, the police have been known to check and walk people to ATMS to pay the hefty fine.

Meanwhile what measures are we taking in the casitas to mitigate any possible contamination? Here are a few:

  • Non essential soft furnishing have been removed
  • All surfaces have been disinfected and allowed to air dry
  • Touch points get extra consideration (light switches, handles, keys, etc)
  • Hand sanitiser is provided
  • Surface disinfectant spray is provided
  • Face mask are available on request
  • Extra cleaning materials are available for your use during the stay
  • Brochures and welcome information packs removed
  • Living room carpet/rugs removed

A lot of people ask if the pool is private or shared. The simple answer is that it is shared! I use it and so does Elaine, Salami our part water dog does not use the pool as he does not like water. If there are guests in the neigbouring casita, they will also use it. So, a possible maximum of 6 people, very unlikley all at the same time. The pool is chlorinated and we check the level every day, and maintain it within safe parameters. So it is very safe and as it is 12 x 6 mts social distancing is very possible.

If you have any questions please ask and we will make every effort to answer.
